Leave the world a little better than you found it, these were the words of the great British soldier Lord Robert Smith Stevenson Baden Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement in the world.
Baden Powell Day
As we celebrate Baden Powell Day across the globe we would like to extend our warmest felicitations to every member of the Scout Movement in every part of the world.
To us in Ghana, the Scouts and Guides Fellowship wishes every Scout and Guide in every region a happy celebration. As we celebrate, let’s remember to do a good turn today and always.
Electioneering year
Let’s also remember that as we gather for peace in this electioneering year, let’s be careful as youth not to be used to engage in electoral malpractices which could lead to electoral violence resulting in the loss of lives and properties.
Again let’s reflect on the saying of our founder, that is, “Leave the world a little better than you found it”. As Scouts and Guides let’s try our best to be more beneficial to our communities, areas and households by coming up with innovative ideas that will make life more comfortable for the people around us.
Let’s be each other’s keeper and let’s support each other to help our boys, girls and the youth to take constructive places in our various societies.
